Kayla Business Solutions is a South African ICT company. We architect and construct network infrastructure, operate managed ICT estates, and engineer the workflow automation and records governance platforms that allow organisations to run with velocity, evidence and control.

When I established Kayla Business Solutions in 2015, our earliest engagement was with a metropolitan municipality that could not see its own network. Officials were diagnosing faults blind, escalations expired quietly in inboxes, and no one could evidence what had been done. We remedied the monitoring. What we in fact remedied was that organisation’s capacity to account for itself.
We pursued ISO 9001:2015 certification because we wished our quality to be audited rather than asserted. We engineered Smart DMS to be ISO 15489 aligned and published it on the Microsoft commercial marketplace. We then implemented an ISO/IEC 27001-aligned information security management system, so that information is protected as rigorously inside this company as it is within the services we deliver.
Accreditation, governance and delivery assurance
We hold ourselves to standards that others are entitled to inspect. Certification is the mechanism by which a client may interrogate our work and receive an answer supported by evidence.

An independently certified and externally audited quality management system governing how every engagement is scoped, executed, inspected and concluded.
ISO/IEC 27001
An information security management system in live operation across the company and the services it delivers to clients.
ISO 15489
Records classification, retention and disposal instantiated within Smart DMS itself, rather than left to individual discretion.
We describe ISO 9001:2015 as certified, and ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 15489 as aligned and implemented. Service management and control are framed by ITIL 4 and COBIT 2019 — the governance layers beneath every managed estate and every Smart DMS deployment. We do not represent an alignment as a certificate — the same precision our clients rely upon when our records are placed before an auditor.

KBS Academy — training that unlocks a country's potential
The Academy is our answer to a national problem, not merely a staffing one. It trains young South Africans for technical careers — on live sites, under supervision, against real qualifications — and equips them to contribute meaningfully to the economy, whether they build that career at KBS or well beyond it.

Ask us for the as-built drawing of a site we cabled two years ago, the change register on a variation, or the acceptance certificate that closed a project. You should receive each of them.
